Where are you writing this?
At my desk in London, Little Venice – by the way does not look like anything like Venice. As a freelancer I’m used to working from home so did not have to struggle with having a routine.
What are you reading?
Just finished “Aria” by Nazanine Hozar, a novel set in Iran before the Revolution of 1979. It is very moving, I felt like I was there. I also loved the memoirs of the American movie producer Robert Evans “The Kid stays in the picture”. Next book on my list is “Expectation” by Anna Hope.
What are you watching?
Having an Alain Delon cycle and re-watching his most iconic movies : Swimming Pool, The Leopard, Rocco and his brothers. I’m really into watching old movies during this lockdown. I get a lot of inspirations through the costumes, the décor, etc.
What are you eating/cooking/baking?
Going mainly through Ottolenghi’s cook books and trying lots of new recipes. My fiancé cooks very well and I’m the best sous chef washing up the dishes.
If you could visit any art gallery or museum in the world right now, where would it be?
Love the Neue Gallery in New-York. It is small museum in a townhouse presenting Austrian and German Art like Schiele and Klimt. I love to finish the visit with a stop at their Café Sabarsky which serves all the classics from the Viennese cafés.
Have you picked up any hobbies in isolation?
I started to learn writing and reading in Farsi, my mother tongue.
Any lockdown discoveries?
I discovered all the streets around my home during my daily walks. Saw some beautiful architecture, trees, checked the blue plaques.
Any lockdown saviours?
My partner Jan! So grateful to be with him during this lockdown where we are all so anxious.
What is the first thing you will do when out of lockdown?
Going to Paris to visit my family - Miss them so much.
What’s on your wishlist?
The Deidre mahogany suede sandals. Will style them with socks.
