Where are you writing this?
From my garden in LA, by the beach on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The summer sun is beaming down, it is my favourite corner of the world!
What are you reading?
I have just finished “Three Women” by Lisa Taddeo, epic and painstaking tales of the sex and love lives of three women in the US - Maggie, Lina and Sloane. I am about to start “Where The Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens (very late to the party!) I have also been enjoying having more time to listen to podcasts. “Grounded” by Louis Theroux, “Fear Itself” by Cressida Bonas and “The High Low” are all gems!
What are you watching?
Like everyone, I finished” Normal People” in a flash. I loved the book and it lived up to all it’s expectations. “Unorthodox” and “ZeroZeroZero” were both incredible, as well.
What are you cooking?
I have cherished being able to spend more time cooking at home - making everything from Indian infused curries to tacos and to mastering vegan burgers, with all the trimmings!
If you could visit any art gallery or museum in the world right now, where would it be?
The Met in New York. I also miss The Getty here in LA - the views over the city at sunset, are spellbinding.
Have you picked up any hobbies in isolation?
We have been playing endless games of backgammon, late into the evenings. It is my favourite thing to do at the moment, and found it important to take that much needed time away from screens.
Any lockdown discoveries?
The Class by Taryn Toomey. I dance every morning with friends across the world on ZOOM, live streaming their classes from New York. Putting on a catsuit and boogying along to Ryan Heffington’s live instagram dance classes is also a delightful hour spent in the day.
Any lockdown saviours?
With my job, I am constantly travelling and rushing from fitting to fitting with clients. It has been important to take this time to slow down - I have been focusing on other avenues of my business, including writing and brand collaborations. My daily swims in the ocean have also been a complete saviour. Last week, we went night swimming with plankton, which was truly mesmerising - our swimsuits were glowing with every splash we made!
What is the first thing you will do when out of lockdown?
Hug my friends and hurry home to the UK to see my wonderful family.
What’s on your wishlist?
Wearing your biker boots again, a staple in my wardrobe. They are incredibly special old friends, that have lasted forever!
