SS20: Musical Desire
Glamour doesn’t have to mean the highest of heels. Meet Symphony, SS20’s most lyrical shoe. True to the tune of Rupert Sanderson, Symphony has been designed to be fluid and elegant. The inspiration and behind this shoe came from a pursuit in drawing a continuous, musical line. Echoing a conductor’s baton, an infinity loop strap delicately flows around the ankle for both support and aesthetics. A small and clear strut is added for discreet support, stopping any ankle strap slippage. A fine stitching trickles around the edge of the shoe along the centre of the skinny straps for a subtle finish.
A new material added to the palette for the season is introduced on Symphony. ‘Martellato’ is the Italian term for ‘hammered gold’. This mirrored material has a texture of dappled, scattering light. You will see the ‘martellato’ finish throughout the collection. Symphony can be chosen in this soft and supple material which encases the toes in a signature pointed toe, with black calf ankle straps. The style is also available in the continuity material of leopard print pony calfhair.
Choose your heel height – a 30mm kitten heel or 80mm mid heel. As with many Rupert Sanderson shoes, you can wear with anything. Elevate a pair of jeans, or wear with a party dress or ballgown (even in quarantine!)
