Tell us a little about you.
I am a fashion and jewellery editor at Harper’s Bazaar and a celebrity stylist.
How do you start your day?
I’m really bad for snoozing my alarm so it normally goes off about three times before I finally get out of bed. I like to start my day with a walk along the river at Hammersmith, near where I live with my husband, to clear my head and get the creative juices flowing – there’s something very meditative about staring out at open water.
What is your fashion philosophy?
Have fun. Be playful. Feel comfortable. All much more important than being on trend!
Can you share your top tip?
Only buy something if it makes you do a dance in the dressing room.
What inspires you?
I think you can find creative inspiration everywhere if you’re open to it; books, art, nature. During lockdown, my neighbours’ gardens were overflowing with roses, wisteria and sweet peas which inspired quite a few Spring shoots!
How do you unwind?
I love to cook – and eat! There’s nothing more relaxing after a long day than putting all of your focus into preparing a meal, it really takes your mind off everything else.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to see the cherry blossom in Kyoto.
Can you tell us something you discovered recently?
The best pub garden in London: The Carpenter’s Arms in W6 with its colourful tables, string lights and flowers everywhere. They also make a mean Negroni.
What is the best part of your work?
Being surrounded by beautiful clothes and shoes all day!
Which shoes do you love this season?
The leopard print Sabine flats are sooo chic. That’s actually another top tip…leopard print goes with everything!
